Tywyn is a popular seaside resort on the Cardigan Bay in Gwynedd, Mid Wales. The resort is surrounded by the green valleys and hills of Bro Dysynni which is the furthest reach of the Snowdonia National Park. In the town there is a wide selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants including the very popular Holgates Ice Cream Shop & Cafe. There is also the Tywyn Leisure Park which is a great place to visit with children.

The Wales Coastal Path runs right through Tywyn and onto the sandy Blue Flag beach which is flanked by a lovely promenade, a great spot for watching dolphins. The promenade also provides amazing views of Bardsey Island & Pwllheli on the Lleyn Peninsula as well as Aberystwyth to the south. The south part of the beach has huge sand dunes, 5 miles of sand and is popular for watersports.
